By Ziska Menke Once again Development-X have released a feature-packed quarterly update for Ostendo that help a wide array of businesses with added functionality and enhancements. The main additions in this release are: Google Maps can now be linked to customer and supplier records to enable you to print maps and directions from your business to a customers site with sales deliveries and the job calendar - a great addition for businesses with sales/service technicians on the road! Documents can now be linked to customers and flagged to print/email when customer statements are generated. What an easy way to keep your customers informed with monthly newsletters or special offers. User defined tables have been added to increase the flexibility of the program for any industry and a Health & Safety module has been created to demonstrate the power of this new feature. This module can be added by any user on the current version and includes a variety of registers to track hazards, incidents and investigations, safety equipment and minor first aid activities. There are also a variety of smaller enhancements that will be of particular interest to existing users wanting to add additional fields to employee, customer asset or bills of material or those wanting a quick and easy process in which to invoice a customer and receive a payment within one screen.
